2023 Ron Hosler Category: Superior Performance
Ron is continually trying to become a better student of the game, constantly working on bowling grips, fundamentals, and overall knowledge of the sport. Starting in 1971 Ron currently has 22 300games and 18 800 series. Ron's highest achievement was consecutively being the Greater Denver Masters Champion in 2006 and 2007. One of only a few members to win this title multiple times and has qualified for match play 7 times. He has participated in the Greater Denver USBC City Tournament with a 1st Place Team Title in 2011. In 2006 Ron secured the Senior City Doubles Title as well as a 3rd Place in Singles and a 2nd Place in All-Events.
Across the state Ron has also seen success. He took 1st Place Team and Doubles in the State Tournament in 2015. For 4 consecutive years Ron took a 2nd Place finish in the Colorado Springs Masters, he was the Highland Park Open Champion in 2004, he has 15 Rocky Mountain senior Bowling Tour Titles, 3 Amateur Bowling Tour Titles, and won the ABT Colorado Regional for a check worth $20,000.
Outside of Colorado Ron has participated in 19 USBC Open Championships with a cumulative average of 193. His high series is a 702 and in 2010in Reno, Nevada had a perfect 300 game. Ron has also bowled several USBC National Senior Masters Tournaments with his best finish being 16th Place in 2007. When not on the lanes Ron appreciates reading science fiction and fantasy. In addition, he loves to watch popular hit television shows, just years after they originally aired.
